Abstract<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Law of the People\u2019s Republic of China on Diplomatic Personnel Stationed Abroad is one of the most important normative acts regulating the issues of the Foreign Service in mainland China. It is noteworthy, however, that the Chinese legislator also enacted separate regulations concerning the consular privileges and immunities. The aim of the article is to set forth the specificity of the Chinese Foreign Service against the background of the solutions adopted in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic and Consular Relations, respectively. Finally, the paper seeks to answer whether Chinese solutions meet international standards in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
